Our Treats
-We went ahead and bought a beautiful three month old golden retriever pup and after the honeymoon period was over she began acting like a regular puppy. Doing everything from tearing up the yard to jumping up and nibbling on guests! We really wanted to correct that behavior and make her a polite and loving member of the family. The last thing we wanted was to have the kind of pet people avoid your house over. After reading all the great reviews on One Paw Forward we decided to call them up and give it a try. All I have to say is, WOW what a great decision on our part! Initially, I thought that one hour would not be enough to make a difference, but after watching Fabian's work on the first few lessons I knew we were down the right path. Fabian was extremely patient and friendly he not only made our dog Marley into a fantastic and obedient pet but he taught us HOW to communicate and read her behavior. In fact not only has he helped us instill proper behavioral traits in her, but his lessons have allowed us to address future problems and teach her new tricks even after the sessions ended! I strongly recommend One Paw Forward to anyone who has a problematic pup or just wants to learn how to communicate better with their beloved pets. Thanks Fabian, we appreciate all your help : )

Services we offer:
Private in home Puppy & Dog Training
One Paw Forward's service package consists of us going to your home (or place of choice) for basic obedience training for both owner and dog. The course consists of one free consultation in which we sit to discuss goals wanted for your puppy/dog. We also advise the proper tools and attitude needed to succeed. After the initial consultation, 6 one hour classes will be held 1 time a week. After each class, a review is held and homework is provided in order to keep reinforcing commands until the next class. The more you practice the better prepared you will be for the following class. During the course, we are also available for questions and troubleshooting at any time. We, at One Paw Forward, Inc. want to make sure you feel you have a friend as well as a coach to help you keep taking steps forward to helping your dog. We will teach you how to train your dog to be a polite dog. You will be taught to reinforce sit, stay, release, recall, and wait commands. Also proper housebreaking, loose leash walking, excessive nipping, biting, and chewing deterrence will be incorporated. As well as aggression correction. Your puppy/dog will also be encouraged to eliminate jumping and barking at inopportune moments. After training is over we also like to follow up with our clients and hear about the progress your puppy/dog has made and offer continued support(if needed). (Cost of package: $395.00)Group Classes
Group classes consist of a group of no more than 5 puppies/dogs. There are a total of 5 classes, each 1 hour long and meet once a week. The classes consist of teaching your puppy/dog to "focus" and attend to you to respond to commands such as "recall"(come command),"sit", "lay down", "wait", "leave it", and all the while encouraging proper loose leash walking. Also the trainer will address the proper tools and positive reinforcement techniques to use to help your puppy/dog succeed and become a well mannered and obedient member of your family. (cost of package: $85.00)Board and Training(depending on space available)
We also offer "board and training". Research shows that it takes roughly 21-24 days to break bad habits and form new acceptable habits. Your pet and the transition into your home will be made complete upon returning him/her by having a class with the owners. Upon returning your puppy or dog we will review and show you the commands and techniques necessary to help your pet continue to grow appropriately. In the case of housebreaking your puppy it is important to understand that they are similar to newborn babies, waking in the middle of the night to eat or go to the restroom. During the "board and training" process, the puppy's owners are getting a full night's sleep, while the trainer is dealing with the "middle of the night urges" a puppy has. You don't have to wake up at 2 in the morning to take your puppy out because by the time your puppy returns to your home, this habit has already been broken. Board and training includes constant monitoring daily and over night, daily extended walks to encourage exercise as well as housebreaking, indoor training as well as outdoor training, proper socialization, grooming, and of course feeding. (Cost:$1,000.00-payment made in two parts)
Daily dog walking
One Paw Forward, Inc. is now offering daily dog walks in the 33139, 33133, and 33146 zip codes. Feel safe having your puppy or dog walking with a professional dog trainer. Trainer will also follow your instructions as to where your dog/puppy enjoys walking. If you work long 9-5 hours or more dog trainer will go to your home and provide them with good positive company and exercise.

Boarding
Going on vacation or going away on business? One Paw Forward, Inc. offers boarding for families that prefer the feeling of home rather than kennel for their pets. We provide long daily walks, proper attention, and care that you prefer. Please call for appointment and space availability. (cost: $30.00-35.00 a night)
